A little about VVR from the founder Raye Leonard.

I have always had a love for the vintage scene, from the flawless make up and wonderful hairstyles to the fabulous clothing. Wearing vintage clothing you know that your not going to pass someone in the street wearing the same dress that you picked up in a vintage store. I love being able to put my own spin on the vintage look, not always wearing a vintage item but vintage inspired. I have a huge love for the 50’s style dresses which compliment my figure.rockstar_vendor_badge-1

Hair can complete a look and change a whole outfit. From a young age, my sister and I would do French plats for 25p to the girls in the street. Several years later I worked as an assistant a hairdressers.
The vintage hairstyles seem to come naturally to me as I have a huge love for vintage.
I wanted to bring the vintage scene to my own home town, so I set up a monthly vintage fair having guest spot hair stylists as well as vintage clothes and homeware. This is where Vintage Victory Rollers was created, after watching endless hair tutorials and styling many of my friend’s hair I decided to put my knowledge and passion to the test! I always wear my hair in a vintage style and this has been my walking advertisement. I was given an opportunity to have a regular spot at Carry on Vintage in Swindon, where customers could come in and have an updo if they were going to a dance, wedding or just a night out.
Now VVR has become so busy we have a team of stylists and make up artists. We now have a salon and joined forces with Lady Locks hairdressing.

Vintage Victory Rollers, offering vintage inspired updos from the 20’s to the 50’s. So if you are attending a Gatsby themed event or going to a Rockabilly dance we can cater for all!

Here’s what some of our customers say:

”I had my first Up Do for my birthday last summer, it looked amazing and everyone including he men Loved it! In fact, I love having my Up Dos so much that it doesn’t have to be a special occasion, I would say I am a regular client now. Raye is an extremely talented and gifted lady when it comes to Vintage hair…..she makes sure it suits you! And you come away feeling so elegant and pampered! I can’t get enough…..I would encourage all the ladies to go and try an updo……and if you have short hair, she can do wonderful and creative styles with that too! Highly recommended! ”

”I had my People that VVR are working with. first style for a 1940s ball and not only was my hair amazing but the atmosphere and how special I was made to feel when.having it done was amazing… Thank you! Will Def use you for all styling x”

My friend suggested I contact you. I am into 40’s and 50’s inspired clothes, make up and hair. I love the feminine decadence of it all. I used to be a stylist working for Samsung, I am now a nurse, which I love, but I miss doing up do’s for party’s and weddings! My friend said that you have a team that go to festivals and events to work your magic. I’d love to be part of something like that. Is this something that you are ever looking for more stylists for?

    Hi,
I am currently interested in doing a vintage hen party for my brothers fiance. It would be for around 10-12 ladies. Is this something you would be able to accomodate for ? If so, would I be able to get a pricing ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Many Thanks
